Section (g)(4) of OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, which requires that for safety, 2 persons entering a dangerous atmosphere must remain in constant contact with one another, and 2 persons must remain outside the danger in order to monitor those inside and perform rescue or call for backup if needed.
