The U.S. Fire Administration, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Fire Service, developed the report "Wildland Urban Interface: A Look at Issues and Resolutions," to motivate collaborative actions targeted to the prevention of catastrophic wildfires in the wildland urban interface (WUI). The report provides recommendations for 13 issues that, if heeded, will assist in the creation of fire-resilient communities and save lives and properties.
