The goal of this course is to provide fire and emergency services personnel with practical tools and methods for enacting change in the promotion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Students will gain awareness and sensitivity regarding history of underrepresented groups within the fire and emergency services, identify the structural and social barriers within their sphere of influence that they can change, and learn to appreciate the cultural and business imperative for these values.
