This fundamental-level course will empower the learner to identify and mitigate common campus fire and life safety risks, as well as understand the basic components and operation of fire protection and life safety systems.

Recommended target audience for this course includes (but will not be limited to):

  • Campus staff with responsibility for student safety, including campus housing coordinators.
  • Fire department staff (both on campus and off campus).
  • Local government officials (code enforcement, building inspection, etc.).

Recommended:  Incident Command System (ICS)-100-level and ICS-200-level training. Preferred courses are Q0462 and Q0463, available through NFA Online.
