This two-day program provides students with the ability to create and implement a comprehensive campus fire and life safety public education program. There will be a focus on looking at the on-campus and off-campus fire risks and educating students, personnel and stakeholders about these risks.

Selection criteria

Recommended:

  • State and local government officials, including fire and emergency services.
  • Public education specialists with an interest in campus life safety.
  • Campus staff with responsibility for student safety and security.

Prerequisites

Recommended:  Incident Command System (ICS)-100-level and ICS-200-level training. Preferred courses are Q0462 and Q0463, available through NFA Online.
