Fire Chief

Chief Miner responded to EMS incidents involving COVID-19 positive patients on Sept. 12, 2021 and Sept. 13, 2021. Between Sept. 15, 2021 and Sept. 23, 2021, Chief Miner began exhibiting signs of illness. His health continued to steadily decline, and he went to the Licking Memorial Hospital Emergency Room on Sept. 24, 2021. He was tested for COVID-19 and received notification of a positive result for the infection on this date and was admitted to the hospital. Despite treatment in the hospital, he unfortunately did not recover and died just before midnight on Sept. 26, 2021 as the result of COVID-19.
