Senior Firefighter

Senior Firefighter Armes and the members of his fire department were fighting a fire in a residence. Firefighter Armes advanced a hoseline into the interior and fought the fire. When he emerged from the structure, he doffed his SCBA facepiece and pulled hose for the interior firefighters. Senior Firefighter Armes collapsed.

He was treated by other firefighters and paramedics at the scene and transported to the hospital. He was not revived; his death was caused by a heart attack.
