Assistant Chief Engineer


Assistant Chief Engineer Isaacs worked on apparatus in his fire station the morning of December 28, 2019.  Later in the day, Assistant Chief Engineer Isaacs stood by at the fire station during two emergency responses that occurred at 1812hrs and 1820hrs.  That evening, Assistant Chief Engineer Isaacs assisted with a social function at the fire station from 1700hrs to 0200hrs.

Assistant Chief Engineer Isaacs returned to the fire station the next morning at approximately 1030hrs to work on another piece of apparatus.  This work was completed at approximately 1115hrs and he returned home.  He was discovered by his wife at home at approximately noon.  He was transported to the hospital but was not revived.

Otis L. Isaacs Jr. was honored on the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland and was included in the USFA’s annual report Firefighter Fatalities in the United States.
