John “Jack” Callan Leming, Firefighter

Firefighter Leming attended a regularly scheduled fire drill at his fire station during the evening of April 15, 2019, from 1900 to 2000hrs. Drill activities included station maintenance, apparatus maintenance, and apparatus pump training. Once at home, at approximately 2330hrs, Firefighter Leming began to experience symptoms of a heart attack. EMS was called and he was transported to a local hospital. During the transport, he went into cardiac arrest and was not revived.
