Romulus “Tony” Sanderson Spencer, III, Fire Chief

On May 31, 2018, at approximately 2100hrs, Chief Spencer finished participating in a Firefighter I & II Hose certification class.  A few hours later, at approximately 0130hrs on June 1, 2018, Chief Spencer suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence.  He was airlifted to a regional hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.  Chief Spencer passed away on June 3, 2018, as a result of a heart attack.
