Steven Joseph Knaus

Firefighter Knaus completed a 24-hour work period at noon on February 28, 2014. The shift had included response to numerous fire and emergency medical incidents. At 2044hrs Firefighter Knaus was found unconscious by the side of his personal vehicle in the driveway of his home. He was treated and transported to the hospital but did not survive. His death was caused by a heart attack. Firefighter Knaus was also a Cleveland firefighter.
