Philip Alan Mortensen

Chief Mortensen and other members of his fire department responded to an emergency medical incident on December 21, 2012. The incident was concluded at 1633hrs. At 1254hrs the next day, firefighters were dispatched to a report of a man down. Firefighters discovered Chief Mortensen in respiratory and cardiac arrest. He was treated and transported to a medical helicopter landing zone for further transport. The flight physician pronounced Chief Mortensen dead upon his arrival at the landing zone.
