Russell F. Neary

Lieutenant Neary and the members of his fire department responded to a report of a structure fire. While returning to quarters, firefighters encountered debris in the roadway that had been blown down by Hurricane Sandy. Firefighters began to remove the debris from the roadway when sections of a tree or trees fell into the roadway, striking Lieutenant Neary. Incident Location: Near Judd Road (USNG: 18T XL 42 75).
