Incident Description: Forestry Technician Martinez was on assignment to a fire in Cortez, Colorado as a Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) Manager. He had been assigned to these duties since July 7, 2005. He performed his duties from 0830hrs through 2100hrs on July 17, 2005. Forestry Technician Martinez was discovered dead by hotel room cleaners on the morning of July 18, 2005; he had died overnight. The cause of death was listed as a heart attack.
