Robert E. Fowler

Firefighter

Firefighter Fowler was crushed and killed when a tree fell on his personal vehicle during a response to an emergency call. Due to extreme weather, the fire department had been called out on several downed power lines and windows that had been blown out. Firefigher Fowler and his son were driving the half mile from their house to the station. His son, who was a junior firefighter, was also taken to the hospital with back injuries.

Robert E. Fowler was honored on the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland and was included in the USFA’s annual report Firefighter Fatalities in the United States.
