American Council on Education has not reviewed this course.

Students will learn to recognize, identify, and quantify hazards and safety violations during fire inspections where hazardous materials are present in occupancies and to perform initial steps of code application and notification to initiate mitigation or elimination of the risk.

This course is a pre-course assignment for those attending National Fire Academy on-campus offerings of R0615, "Hazardous Materials Code Enforcement" (HMCE). The completion of this course will be included in the scoring of the HMCE student's grade of record upon completion of the resident course.

Continuing Education Units are not available for completion of this course independently; however, we encourage any student interested in understanding the importance of identifying hazardous materials risk during fire inspections to complete the course.
